Teaching Science Through Interactive and Integrative Approaches

The Teachers Training program is a seminar-workshop normally scheduled for 3-day activity. But, it can also be designed for a one-week training depending on the needs of the host-sponsors. The number of participants is always limited to manageable strength of 50 participants. since its maiden conduct in 1995, the seminar-workshop has already reached to more than 5,000 science and art teachers, administrators, and supervisors all over the country.

The training has two main categories: the critical and creative thinking (The Art of Questioning) and the interactive learning system, methodology used comprised of lecture-discussions, critiquing sessions, demonstrations, simulations and hands-on experience. Participants are exposed to self-paced and self-directed learning approaches as well as face-to-face and group learning experiences.

Sci-Art Contest for Elementary Level

The Sci-Art contest is a design and creativity competition which challenges the imagination to express the children's understanding of S&T in visual form. Use of various media and indigenous materials is encouraged in depicting the contest theme. The contest theme/s focuses on Energy or Environment. This is open to elementary grade 4 to 6 pupils.
